Gestational Carrier Program
There are many reasons why your path to parenthood may require the help of a gestational carrier. It is important to remember that every journey is different and your journey and story will be unique to you! RADfertility helps all intended parents on their pursuit of biological parenthood.
What is a Gestational Carrier (Surrogate)?
A gestational carrier is a woman who elects to carry and deliver a baby for another person. The gestational carrier does not provide any genetic material for the pregnancy. Although RADfertility does not recruit gestational carriers, we have partnered with a variety of great organizations that can help facilitate the matching process.
Gestational Carrier Program
With the help of a gestational carrier, intended parents who are unable to carry a pregnancy on their own are still able to seek biological parenthood. Through our gestational carrier program, RADfertility will work alongside you and your gestational carrier all the way from the initial medical records review up until the end of the first trimester of a pregnancy. All gestational carriers must go through thorough screening before being approved by RADfertility to carry a pregnancy for the intended parents. This includes the following:
- Medical records review
- Psychological screening
- Medical screening
Why You Might Need a Gestational Carrier
- You are a single male desiring biological parenthood
- You are a same-sex male couple desiring biological parenthood
- It has been determined by your physician that a gestational carrier would provide the best opportunity to carry a pregnancy full term
Navigating Your Journey With a Gestational Carrier
While many intended parents choose to hire an agency to help find a gestational carrier and navigate the journey to parenthood, it is possible to manage the journey independently. RADfertility works with all intended parents and gestational carriers whether they are currently working with an agency or not. It is important to know that there are benefits of each method and that the decision is ultimately up to the intended parents and gestational carrier.
Some of the benefits you may receive by hiring an agency include:
- Access to an established matching program to find a gestational carrier
- Expert guidance and advice on each individual step of the journey
- In-house legal advice and services for gestational carrier agreements, establishing pre-birth orders, and managing escrow accounts
- Expert analysis, policy placement, and regular review of the gestational carrier’s insurance policy
- Management of appointments and medical bills
- Live birth guarantees
Some of the benefits you may receive by navigating the journey independently include:
- A significant reduction in overall cost
- More personal communication with the gestational carrier
- A greater sense of involvement on each step of the journey

Seeds of Success
The de la Cruz-Brower Family
Mike and Chris de la Cruz-Brower were well prepared for the journey they were about to embark upon to become parents when they took the first step with RADfertility.

Seeds of Success
The Koss Family
As Laura and Jay Koss sat in Dr. Adrienne Neithardt’s office, they felt unsure of the world they were stepping into. Laura had no problems conceiving her daughter, Jordan, the previous year. But ten days after Jordan’s birth, a postpartum hemorrhage led to Laura having an emergency hysterectomy.

A Family’s Journey of Love – RADfertility Patients Welcome Daughter in New Zealand With the Help of Their Surrogate
Sometimes it takes a village to grow a family, and RADfertility patients Ashlynn and Tim Guptill know this journey all too well. When the couple lost their daughter, Grace, in 2017, after giving birth at 23 weeks, Tim’s sister, Rebecca, immediately stepped in and offered to become a surrogate to help the family.

Seeds of Success
The Szymurski Family
When RADfertility patients, Nikki and Jared Szymurski, decided they wanted to commemorate the birth of their son, Mark, they asked Erin Farrell Photography to join in the delivery room to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moment. This beautiful and unique Seeds of Success story is in Nikki’s own words and was originally featured on her photographer’s blog in July of 2017.
